Conspicuity is a very real component of vehicle operations. During times
of darkness we all know how important it is to be able to see hazards and,
conversely, for ourselves to be seen by others.
The times when lighted lamps are required has changed to include
times when the windshield wipers are on in a motor vehicle.
Many times crashes occur during nighttime hours and inclement weather.
In the course of an investigation one involved person or another may say, “I
didn’t see the other car.”
